Number pick-up

Participants can pick up start numbers at the Half Marathon Expo located next to the town hall premises on Horní náměstí. Start numbers will be available on 25 June 2010 from 10am through to 7pm, and on the day of the race from 10am until 5pm.
Eligibility and rules

The Olomouc Half Marathon is open to all officially registered runners who are 18 years or older. The race is designed in accordance with the regulations and guidelines of the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF), the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) and the Czech Athletic Federation (ČAS).

* Ranking is separate for men and women; veteran categories are also included (35+ and every 5 years).
* The race will proceed regardless of weather conditions.
* Roller blades, bicycles and other such vehicles are forbidden along the race course.
* Runners take responsibility for their physical condition and their ability to complete the distance.
* The organizer takes no responsibility for the occurrence of damage of any kind due to either participation in the race or its observation.
* The organizer has the right to close the registration without any prior announcement.
* Entry fee payment is final and not refundable.
* Registration is only valid after the required participation fee has been paid to the organizer’s bank account, or in cash or by bank card.

Time-keeping

Time-keeping is provided through the use of electronic chips. The chips are collected immediately after the finish.
Technical area

The technical area area will be located on the Horní square. This area will provide refreshments, toilets, changing rooms, bag depository, showers, deposit return and massages.
First aid

First aid for runners is provided by the Emergency Medical Service at the start and finishing areas and along the entire course.
Race course

The race course stretches throughout the city center and its surrounding areas. The course is flat, mostly of an asphalt surface, partly stone and without any major changes in elevation in accordance with the AIMS/IAAF criteria.
