Eligibility: All runners age group 1994 and older, runners younger than 18 years need the consent of a legal representative. Vienna City Marathon May I change to the half marathon when I am registered for the Marathon? Yes, it is possible to change from the Marathon to the Half Marathon (21,097 km) without having to sign up again. If, for example, you had to interrupt your training because of illness and therefore did not get in form for the full distance, all you have to do is finish the race after 21 km on Heldenplatz. You will be included in the official list of results of the half marathon. It is, however, NOT possible to sign up for the half marathon and run the full marathon distance. When I am registered for the marathon or for the half marathon, may I register as first runner of the relay marathon at the same time? Yes, this combination is possible as the course of these events is the same. If you want to compete in the Marathon or Half marathon, you may complete the first relay distance (16,11km), hand over to the second runner and then complete the Marathon or Half marathon. Important: You will have to register for both events, i.e. for the marathon or for the half marathon AND for the relay marathon. You will also require two chips for time keeping. IMPORTANT: If you are using two time keeping chips, they MAY NOT be adjusted to one shoe only as time keeping will not work correctly in this case. Please adjust one chip to your right shoe and the other one to your left shoe!!!
