Mobile Phone: 0722 - 977 094; Purpose: To promote health education by encouraging running. “The Road Running and the Half-Marathon of Arad County” event includes three races: half marathon - 21.097 km, no.1 popular running - the 6 km race and no.2 popular running-the 1 km race. Event schedule: (the final version will be available within 3 days before the start) Date: 2nd of June 2012 / Starting point: Arad, near Arad City Hall, Revolutiei Boulevard no. 77 Schedules: Half-imarathon: - until 08:40 – Gathering participants at the starting point; - 09:00 – Start; No.1 popular running – the 6 km race: - until 11:40 – Gathering participants at the starting point; - 12:00 – Start; No.2 popular running – the 1 km race: - until 13:10 – Gathering participants at the starting point; - 13:30 – Differentiated starts Finally: Volunteers race Award Ceremony for half-marathon and 6 km race will be at the end of such evidence. Picking up the starting package: In order to earn time, there will be placed a secetary desk near the starting point from where you will be able to pick up your starting package on 1st of June 2012, between 08:00 and 20:00 o’clock. The address: central headquarter of „Aurel Vlaicu” University, Revolutiei Boulevard no. 77 (near Arad City Hall), 1st floor, room A11. The starting package will be picked up on the basis of an idendity card of the person registered for participation or of a parent in the case of underaged participants without an identity card. The starting package for the semimarathon: race/competition number, chip timing, storage bag and the official T-shirt. For the normal races, the starting package contains only the race/competition number. The starting package can be picked up also, from the same place on 2nd of June 2012 between 07:00 and 08:00 o’clock for the half-marathon and until 11:00 o’clock for the popular races. In order to avoid crowding and the risk of not having enough time to pick up your starting package because of it we kindly advice you to pick up your starting package on 1st of June 2012 (between 08:00 and 20:00 o’clock), especially if you are from Arad! Thank you for understanding! Tehnical meeting: The tehnical meeting regarding the details of the race, for the half-marathon, will take place on 1nd of June at 20:00 o’clock at the central headquarter of „Aurel Vlaicu” University, Revolutiei Boulevard no. 77 (near Arad City Hall). Wardrobe for 2nd of June 2012: For changing and leaving personal objects we will have a room at the central headquarter of „Aurel Vlaicu” University Arad. At the same place you can find a bathroom that can be used during the whole day of the event. Arad Visit: With the occasion of the event „The Road Running and Half-marathon of Arad County” will take place on 2nd of June 2012 we wish to have also a short visit in the city of Arad. The meetings with those interested will be on 1st of June 2012 at 17:00 o’clock in front of the City Hall. The itinerary will consist in at least the following places/points: - walking on the Mures alley (between Podgoria and Arad City Hall) – a part of the race for 6km race and half-marathon; - stopping by the Cultural Palace Arad; - stopping by „Ioan Slavici” Theater - stopping by in „Avram Iancu” Square and the Reconciliation Park - stopping by the Water Tower Arad; We would be honored if you will participate to our short „Welcome tour” of our city, Arad. In order to plan this short visit, though, we will need to know the total number of persons interested. The route: • Half-marathon: Arad City Hall - Revolution Avenue - Nicolae Grigorescu Street - Mures Promenade- Europa Park - Micalaca Road Bridge - Eugen Popa Street - Roundabout - Fortress Street - Decebal Bridge - Mures Promenade- Cultural Palace - Xenopol Street - Arad City Hall - three times this route; • No.1 popular running- the 6 km race: Arad City Hall - Revolution Avenue - Nicolae Grigorescu Street – Mures Promenade - Micalaca Road Bridge - Eugen Popa Street - Roundabout - Fortress Street - Decebal Bridge - Mures Promenade- Cultural Palace - Xenopol Street - Arad City Hall; • No.2 popular running- the 1 km race: Arad City Hall - Revolution Avenue - Arad Theatre - Revolution Avenue - Arad City Hall; Conditions of participation For the half-marathon: • We invite to register here people over 18 years old by 2nd of June 2012; • The participation is free; • Each enrolled person must be willing to run at their own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any possible accidents and / or damage caused by participation in this event. Also, each person must sign a written consent for that the organizers or their delegates to use images of the event as well as to receive information, via email, about the race (News / Newsletter). The above mentioned declaration will be signed in original when the starting package is taken. • The registration can be done on the following site: www.cros-semimaraton.ro or at the ACCC headquarters (G.Bariţiu Street, no.16), daily, Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3.00 p.m., until 3.00 p.m. on 25th of May 2012; • The timing will be done by adding a chip to the race number or to the running shoes; • The time limit of running the route: 4 hours; • The registrations will be accepted up to 300 places; For no.1 popular running - the 6 km race: • We invite to register here people over 14 years old by 2nd of June 2012; • The participation is free; • Each enrolled person must agree to run at their own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any possible accidents and / or damage caused by participation in this event. Also, each person must sign a written consent for that the organizers or their delegates to use images of the event as well as to receive information, via email, about the race (News / Newsletter). The above mentioned declaration will be signed when the starting package is taken, except for the minors in which case these issues are mentioned in the joint statement of the parents. • The registration can be done on the following site: www.cros-semimaraton.ro or at the ACCC headquarters (G.Bariţiu Street, no.16), daily, Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and until 3.00 p.m. on 30th of May 2012; • For the minors, the registration will be done with the parental consent by signing a declaration. The declaration is handed in by a parent or teacher at the ACCC headquarters, daily, Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and until 3.00 p.m. on 30th of May 2012, so the registration is validated; • The time limit of running the route: 1.5 hours; For no. 2 popular running - the 1 km race: • There is no age limit, the particularities for minors are described below; • The participation is free; • Each registered person must be willing to run at their own risk. Organizers are not responsible for any possible accidents and / or damage caused by participation in this event. Also, each person must agree that the organizers or their delegates may use images of the event as well as receive information, via email, about the race (News / Newsletter). • The registration can be done on the following site: www.cros-semimaraton.ro or at the ACCC headquarters, daily, Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and until 3.00 p.m. on 30th of May 2012; • The time limit of running the route: 30 minutes; Additionally, for the children under 18 years old by 2nd of June 2012: • The registration will be done with parental consent, by signing a declaration in this regard. The declaration is handed in by a parent or a teacher at the ACCC headquarters, daily, Monday-Friday, from 10 a.m. to 3.00 p.m. and until 3.00 p.m. on 30th of May 2012, so the registration is validated; • Children under 10 years old will be accompanied by a parent / adult in the race who can also register at this race and receive a participation number; The starting package will be available on presentation of an identity card of the registered person or one of the parents. A participation certificate will either be sent via e-mail to every participants, or it will be handed at the arrival at the finish line. Starting package contains: For half-maraton: before the race: • number, timing chip; • storage bag; after the race (for participants who complete the course): • certificate of attendance emailed; • medal; • official shirt; For popular races 6 and 1 km: before the race: • number of competition; after the race (for participants who complete the course): • certificate of participation, • medal; Checkpoints, race numbers Checkpoints / intermediary points will be found on the route, and runners who do not pass through these points will be disqualified. Participants are required to wear the race number in the front part of the body. It is forbidden to change the chip or the race number, in this case the participant risking to fail the registration in intermediate and / or final points and disqualification from the competition. Penalties which may have as consequence the disqualification: • not running the established and marked route, deviations from the route; • not accessing a checkpoint; • losing the race number; • participating without having the race number caught in front part; • using a mean of transport during the race; • exceeding the time limit specified; • abandoning packages or equipment on the route; • misconducting against other runners, public, supporters, organizers, partners, sponsors, volunteers; Traffic of vehicles No.2 popular running - the 1 km race: the vehicles will be stopped during the race on the determined route; No.1 popular running - the 6 km race, half- marathon: the route has a short part where running is on the road or it is crossing some roads and the traffic at these locations will be stopped totally / partially or protection corridors for runners will be installed (Palace of Culture – Xenopol Street - Arad City Hall - Revolution Avenue - Nicolae Grigorescu Street – descending the Micalaca road bridge, climbing the Decebal bridge) Rankings and Participation Certificates: The ranking for the half-marathon will be available on www.cros-semimaraton.ro after the event. For the year 2012, as an addition to 2011, we will do the ranking for all participants at the end of the 6 km race. A participation certificate will either be sent via e-mail to every participants, or it will be handed at the arrival at the finish line. Wardrobe/storage of personal objects: Near the starting/arrival area, there will be a place (the headquarter of „Aurel Vlaicu” Univeristy Arad) where participants can change and leave their personal objects, on their own responsibility, in a bag identified with the race/competition number and offered by the organizers. Toilets: There will be ecological toilets in at least two points on the route. Hydration points: Hydration points will be found in at least two points on the route and they will contain at least water and fruits; Photos: After the event, participants will be able to download photographs from www.cros-semimaraton.ro Awards: Half-marathon, general: Men First Place - 1000 lei Second place - 800 lei Third Place - 500 lei Women First Place - 1000 lei Second place - 800 lei Third Place - 500 lei Prizes are taxable under current legislation. The awards on categories will consist in gifts and diplomas. For the half-marathon, the age categories are indicated below, separately at male and female: • 18 – 30 age; • 30 – 40 age; • 40 – 50 age; • 50 – 60 age ; • over 60 age; For the popular race of 6 km prizes will consist in gifts and diplomas. The prizes will be given according to age categories which will be announced later. All participants who complete the popular race of 1 km will receive certificates of participation and medals. Special prizes will be awarded to: • Tutors: the first three people (teachers, coaches, mentors, etc.) according to the total number of kilometres run by competitors who have registered them as tutors; the first three people (teachers, coaches, mentors, etc.) according to the total number of competitors who have registered them as tutors; • Educational institutions represented at the event: the first three educational institutions with the highest number of kilometres run by their represented competitors; the first three educational institutions according to the total number of competitors who have registered them as educational institution; • Represented structures (companies / associations / institutions / clubs): the first three structures with the highest number of kilometres run by their represented competitors; the first three structures according to the total number of competitors who have registered them as structure. The organizers reserve the right to stop running the event if certain conditions are imposed. “The Road Running and the Half-Marathon of Arad County” event and the above mentioned conditions can have improvements / changes after its launching, according to the partnerships that will be achieved while maintaining free access to the shown races. www.cros-semimaraton.ro |
